FOREST
SCHOOL
GROWING MINDS IN NATURE'S CLASSROOM
AGES 3 - 11YRS
Our Forest School was born out of a need to (re)create connections with the natural world for young people in Nepal, particularly those in the city who have few options for accessing open, green spaces. Through Forest School activities young people get the opportunity to interact with the natural world through play and appropriate risk taking, building their self-confidence, regulation of emotions and mental well being.
Forest School is designed with 6 core principles which can be summerised as;

In addition to Forest School activities, we also engage our learners in growing food and learning about organic food production, food forests and nature conservation.
Forest School is a child-centered learning process that promotes holistic growth through regular sessions. It supports play, exploration, and risk-taking, building confidence and self-esteem through hands-on experiences in nature. Practiced worldwide by trained educators, Forest School focuses on social, emotional, spiritual, physical, and intellectual development in a safe, nurturing environment. Learners build resilience and problem-solving skills by tackling real-world challenges. The program fosters a meaningful connection to nature, encouraging growth through risk-taking. Each session is unique, shaped by the changing seasons and natural world, making every experience valuable.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR SCHOOL GROUPS
Fully bespoke itinerary for your group focused on whatever theme your program has.
​​With our specially designed and built dormitory rooms for students, smaller private rooms for group leaders/teachers and professional standard tents and equipment we are well positioned to host groups up to 40 people (up to 20 indoors and 20 in tents).
We can create a flexible or fixed, bespoke itinerary for you based on your group’s interests or lens of inquiry; providing either a full or partial timetable for you to include activities of your own should that be a need for you.
Our list of possible activities takes from a pool of knowledge and experience covering a range of topics including natural building, food systems, climate change and regenerative agriculture.

NATURAL
BUILDING
WORKSHOP
Gain practical, hands-on experience as well as understanding more about the theory, value and application of natural building and materials.
From building with bamboo to making adobe bricks, mixing cob and natural plasters. These hands-on, practical workshops facilitated by experienced practitioners give attendees the opportunity to learn the hows and whys of natural building as well as getting their hands (and feet) dirty with practical applications.
