Our Facilities
Thinking of planning a visit, but want to know a little more about the facilities we offer during your stay? Take a look below

The Farmhouse
Our Farmhouse was completed in 2023, built entirely by hand.

We wanted to build this showpiece using traditional materials and methods, whilst also making it cosy (warm in the winter, cool in the summer) and earthquake resistant.
We achieved this by using locally sourced rocks, timber from our own forest and mud mortar with minimal cement used to form tie-beams for strength.

The tin roof will allow us to harvest rainwater and install solar panels for generating our own electricity.

Bedrooms
Our cosy farmhouse contains two large dormitory rooms complete with hand-made bamboo bunkbeds to sleep up to 8 people in each of the two rooms.
We believe that a good nights sleep is essential, so we've equipped these rooms with double glazing and casement doors, ensuring a well insulated room regardless of the time of year. Each window also has insect-proof mesh. We even have imported mattresses to ensure the best night's sleep possible for our guests.

Additionally, also in The Farmhouse, we have two smaller rooms for group leaders, for 1-2 people in each.

The Shower Block
Next to our Farmhouse, tucked around for privacy, is our shower block. We have two shower rooms each with a hot water geyser and a dry changing area.

Outside of the shower block are two conveniently located basins for handwashing or brushing teeth

The Classroom
This large, open space is ideal for classroom style sessions, documentary screenings, eating lunch (away from monsoon rains or bright sun).
We use this space for loads of activities including cooking classes, hosting birthday party meals and festivities and movie nights.

Our natural-build classroom is a work-in-progress with visiting groups getting the chance to put their natural building skills into real world, practical action.
Other Facilities
Food Forest and Farming
As a working farm, we have extensive land under different types of management, from intensive vegetable production, through food forest, rice paddy, corn field and wild forest.
Pizza Oven
No stay at Three Trees Permaculture is complete without a celebratory pizza party night! We have a handmade mud oven where we prepare fresh pizzas which we enjoy around our small campfire.
Toilets
We have a separate toilet block with both a western-style flushing toilet and a local style squat toilet.
